There When Needed (TWN) was created with two intentions:
- Eliminate the stress many people scheduling outpatient surgery face – securing someone to be there for them in the waiting room during their procedure.
- Provide opportunities for warm and caring people to earn income while helping others in the Team Member role when family or friends are not available.
Please note that There When Needed does not provide medical services of any kind.
Prospective Clients
Thanks for your interest in There When Needed – we’d like to support your need for a waiting room person for your outpatient surgical procedure!
Please be aware that clients must be ambulatory and able to walk and pivot to get in and out of a vehicle easily. There When Needed does not provide medical services of any kind. Team Members can be considered as your “Personal Assistant”, “Companion”, “Waiting Room Person”, or “Surrogate Family or Friend”.

Please complete the Client Intake Form below. We will contact you by email or phone as soon as possible.
If Scheduled
If scheduled you will be emailed a link to our Client Waiver/Service Agreement and asked to complete and submit. Once received by TWN further instructions will be provided via email.

TEAM MEMBER PROFILE
TWN is building a team of warm, supportive and professional people who would enjoy being a “waiting room person” and who:
- Enjoy meeting new people and establishing rapport
- Are on-time and efficient with handling details
- Present a pulled-together, polished image – no sweats, flip flops, shorts, etc.
- Do not wear fragrances or clothing scented from laundry products
- Have a valid Michigan Driver License and can drive your own vehicle to client engagements
- Do not have a criminal record / a background check will be conducted
- Have a cell phone with a texting plan to use for TWN and client communication
- Have available time slots M-F within a 6 am – 6 pm window
- Want to earn extra income
- Have a desire to be a part of a new service that helps people!
